UPDATE 2012-07-17
Ikaworld.com can now confirm the release of Dr. Nwaigbo by his kidnappers. He was released this morning 2012-07-17 at Ila. The specialist doctor arrived home just before noon and needed to rest and recover from his ordeal.

Although yet to be confirmed, Ikaworld.com has also been tipped off that the police has rounded up the kidnappers led by a young man from Alisimie who lives along Balake street. It is speculated that the some of the kidnappers ran into the police, who where on a different mission, after collecting the requested ransom and releasing Dr. Nwaigbo.

In a related development, the kidnapped former chairman of Ika South LGA, Mr. Sunny Ogwu has been released by his kidnappers. The circumstance surrounding his kidnap and release are still hazy.




EARLIER REPORTED 2012-07-12
Ikaworld.com has confirmed the kidnapping of Dr. Nwaigbo, a specialist medical doctor,  in Agbor Boji Boji on Tuesday 11^th July 2012. According to our source who has talked to Dr. Nwaigbo’s family, he was on his way to his office and had just come down from his car when he was dragged into a UNIBEN (University of Benin) shuttle bus by his kidnappers. As at this time we cannot confirm if any ransom has been demanded.

 

Sunny Ogwu Kidnapped

Ikaworld has now confirmed that the former Chairman of Ika South Local Government Area was kidnapped today, july 12 2012, at about 16.00PM. The fomer chairman lives along Egulemu Street Agbor Obi. The circumstances surrounding his kidnapping is still hazy and Ikaworld.com will update this story as soon as we have all the details.

It will be recalled the Hon Hillary Ibude, former Chairman Ika South LGA was also kidnapped an recently released.
