This website is dedicated to Ika community and all Ika speaking people everywhere in the world.

This website was founded February 1st, 2001. The process of putting Ika on the net was partly born out of Dr. Joseph Ifeanyi Onyeche's doctoral research project. On the completion of his doctoral studies, it became clear that Ikaworld.com has come to stay. So here we are.

Becoming a dot-com was precipitated by demands from some Ika friends and visitors to a smaller website called Ndi-Ika first created by Dr. Joseph Onyeche. They suggested that he upgraded to a dot-com in order to give the Ika affairs greater publicity. This was done.

Currently, Ikaworld.com supports all organisations that project positive image of Ika land.

This website is a property of Ika World Foundation. This organisation does not interfere in the day to day running of this website. It does not fund the website. This is to keep the website independent of its and its members influence.

Ikworld.com is run by a volunteer team consisting of an administrator, a webmaster, bloggers and citizen reporters.

This website accepts and publishes articles, blogs and news focused on Ika affairs from anyone. While allowing all Ika folks to express themselves on any issue, Ikaworld.com remains neutral in all issues.



It is gratifying to know that this website has contributed to the development of Ika land and our Ika consciousness.
